JeeJa Yanin of Thailand was born JeeJa Vismitananda on March 31, 1984.

She is the first woman in 20 years to star in a leading role in a Thai martial arts film.
She was raised by both parents until her father died when she was 17 years old. An expert in Martial Arts, she obtained a 3rd Dan black belt in Taekwondo, which she had practiced since she was 11 years old. She also studies Muay Thai and Thai boxing, which she used during her role in the action film 'Chocolate.' She also appears in the movie 'Chocolate 2,' as well as the film 'The Protector 2' alongside Tony Jaa. In August of 2012, she announced that she was leaving the limelight to step back into a more secluded position since at that time she was 5 months pregnant and engaged to Director Adrian Robert Bowden. Her son was born in 2013, and she planned on remaining out of the industry for a time in order to tend to him.
