Tony Jaa

Tony first became interested in Muay Thai boxing because his father was an expert. He started taking lessons at the age of ten, and soon was begging to work under the tutelage of stuntman and action star
Panna Rittikrai. The story goes that Ja threatened to kill himself if he could not work under Panna's instruction.

He did, and became a martial arts master by the age of 15. He then went to the University of Mahamarakam, where he studied sports sciences. There he learned judo, aikido, and Tai Kwon Do, and excelled in gymnastics, sword fighting, the high jump and the long jump.

Ja's first foray into acting came with Panna Rittikrai's Muay Thai Stunt team, and he gained some notoriety when he worked on a commercial for an energy drink where he flipped over an elephant's tusks onto its back.
